Workbridge can help you find the right person with the right skills for your vacancy – at no cost to you.

As the largest New Zealand-owned employment agency for people with a disability, injury or illness, we have a strong track record of success.

We match jobseekers with 3500-4000 job vacancies each year, and have filled a total of 36,857 vacancies over the past decade.

Employing disabled people is good business. We can give you access to a skilled and capable talent pool of people you may not have previously considered, resolving your skills shortages and improving your recruitment and retention rates.

We work across all types of jobs in all sectors and with businesses large and small. Our partners include Z Energy, ANZ Bank, Vodafone, Silver Fern Farms, OCS and Telnet.  

Our 80 employment consultants around New Zealand have specialist knowledge of the local employment market. Their free services include:  

  • pre-employment support
  • assistance with recruitment and selection
  • post-employment support
  • supporting workplaces to become disability confident.


How Workbridge works with employers (the process)




1. Initial meeting

Our Employment Consultants will:

  • Discuss your workplace, culture and staffing needs
  • Provide you with information to build your confidence in hiring a jobseeker from our talent pool
  • Discuss your vacancy, key tasks and job criteria. 



2. Job matching

Our Employment Consultants can:

  • Send you CVs for jobseekers who meet the job criteria
  • Present prepared jobseekers for interview
  • Talk to you about any reasonable accommodation or support that may be required in the work place
  • Make your vacancy available to Workbridge jobseekers throughout the country

3. Job interviews

Our Employment Consultants can:

  • Attend the interview to support the jobseeker  
  • Arrange a New Zealand Sign Language interpreter for Deaf jobseekers, if required.



4. Induction and Training

If required our employment consultant can:

  • Come along on the first day of work to help your new employee settle in
  • Keep in touch regularly to ensure everything is going to plan
  • Help you and your employee access funding for specialist equipment or changes to the physical environment – this is rarely required.    



5. Post-placement support

  • Our Employment Consultants will keep in touch with you and your employee for 12 months or longer if required (by phone, email and site visits).
