Today, the Board of Workbridge confirmed that it has accepted the resignation of chief executive Jonathan Mosen.
Workbridge is an organisation dedicated to matching disabled jobseekers with meaningful employment opportunities.
Mr Mosen was appointed to Workbridge in 2019, bringing to the organisation a strong vision to address the inequities facing more than one million people in New Zealand.
‘The Board is strongly aware of the positive impact Jonathan’s leadership has had on our sector and on the lives of disabled people and whānau,’ said Board Chair Derek Gill.
‘Jonathan is an incredible communicator and advocate for the issues faced by disabled people. One of Jonathan’s greatest strengths is his ability to engage people and lead.’
‘Jonathan has led Workbridge through a transformational period, moving the organisation over to a social enterprise model and most recently working to secure Workbridge’s government contract,’ said Mr Gill. ‘We respect Jonathan’s decision to leave and thank him for the strong position he leaves Workbridge in.’
Mr Mosen spoke of his tenure at Workbridge, having reached his fifth anniversary with the organisation and third as Chief Executive.
‘It is time for Workbridge to begin a new chapter under fresh leadership. Leading this organisation has been a privilege I will always cherish.
‘It has been an eventful journey as we optimised the organisation for a new way of working. Together, we’ve navigated a global pandemic, put an innovative new structure in place, and much more.’
Workbridge is starting the leadership transition next week and the Board has full confidence in Chief Operating Officer Phil Hendry, who has stepped in as interim Chief Executive.
Phil has worked for Workbridge for six years and has the full support of the Workbridge team.
